چکیده
We present a development of Dodgson’s method for the solution to a system of linear equations (see [5]) using the determinants of the Sylvester’s (Determinants) Identity. We explicitly write down the algorithm for this developed method. Mathematics Subject Classification: Primary 05A19; Secondary 05A10

Szyld, Chair We consider low-rank solution methods for certain classes of large-scale linear matrix equations. Our aim is to adapt existing low-rank solution methods based on standard, extended and rational Krylov subspaces to solve equations w...
متن کاملA Gröbner-Sylvester Hybrid Method for Closed-Form Displacement Analysis of Mechanisms
The displacement analysis problem for planar and spatial mechanisms can be written as a system of multivariate polynomial equations. Elimination theory based on resultants and polynomial continuation are some of the methods that have been used to solve this problem. This paper presents a new approach to displacement analysis using the reduced Gröbner basis form of a system of equations under de...
متن کاملNon-Commutative Sylvester's Determinantal Identity
Sylvester’s identity is a classical determinantal identity with a straightforward linear algebra proof. We present combinatorial proofs of several non-commutative extensions, and find a β-extension that is both a generalization of Sylvester’s identity and the β-extension of the quantum MacMahon master theorem.
متن کاملAn Approach to Pole Placement Method with Output Feedback
In this paper, we have presented a simple method in order to solve the pole placement problem of linear output feedback systems with state space models. Pole placement is a control method assigned to arbitrary closed loop poles by state or output feedback. In linear systems, poles have influence on stability, system response, transient response, and band width. Pole placement methods are used i...
متن کاملExtension of Cube Attack with Probabilistic Equations and its Application on Cryptanalysis of KATAN Cipher
Cube Attack is a successful case of Algebraic Attack. Cube Attack consists of two phases, linear equation extraction and solving the extracted equation system. Due to the high complexity of equation extraction phase in finding linear equations, we can extract nonlinear ones that could be approximated to linear equations with high probability. The probabilistic equations could be considered as l...
